"Our target is about 400 antique motorcycles that will come, even more. At present there are several cities from outside Java that have confirmed that they have traveled here, "said Fachrudi as chairman of the committee of the Jepara Maci aniversary event, Monday (5/11).
Fachrudi said Maci Jepara currently has 24 members. On average, antique motorbikes belonging to Maci Jepara members were produced before 1965 from European and American manufacturers, such as the brands BSA, DKW, BMW, Royal Enfield and others. Later, the antique motors will be exhibited to educate the public.
"People can learn history from the motorbikes that we will show off at the event. "Which motorbike used to be for war, race, and motorbikes that have high art are also there," he said.
When alluded to the theme of the event, "Ride For Heroes", Fachrudi explained the meaning was "Driving for Heroes" or riding to honor heroes.
"Aside from being a Carving City, Jepara also has many heroes, such as RA Kartini, Kalinyamat Queen and Queen Shima. Our event is also in commemoration of Heroes' Day which coincides on November 10. So we invite bikers from various cities in Indonesia to come to Jepara, to enjoy the beauty of nature through the tourism of the hospitality of the people and the culture that exists on Bumi Kartini, and to love our Indonesian Heroes, "he said.
