Batam PAUD Porseni Becomes a Platform to Foster Children’s Creativity from an Early Age

Batam Kartininews.com - The Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Sports and Arts Week (Porseni) at the Batam city level has become a strategic platform for nurturing children’s creativity and potential from an early age, while also creating a fun and child-friendly learning environment. The event also strengthens collaboration between teachers, parents, and the government in supporting the growth and development of future generations.

This was stated by the Chairperson of the Batam City TP-PKK (Family Empowerment and Welfare Mobilization Team) and Bunda PAUD Batam, Erlita Amsakar, while attending the Batam City-level PAUD Porseni. The event carried the theme “Great, Healthy, and Cheerful Children” and was held at DC Mall, Lubuk Baja, on Tuesday (5/5/2026).

On that occasion, Erlita emphasized the importance of activities that can stimulate children’s creativity and potential from an early age. She expressed hope that similar events would continue to be held on a sustainable basis.

“We hope this activity will continue as a platform to foster children’s creativity,” she said.

She also reminded educators and parents not to impose their will on children during the growth and development process. According to her, every child has a different character and interests, so they need to be guided with the right approach.

“Do not force PAUD children. Nurture and guide them according to their individual characters. Let’s create a child-friendly environment,” she urged.

Erlita also appreciated the role of teachers and educators who have contributed to guiding and educating the children.

In addition, she called on parents to actively participate in providing education and supervision within the family environment.

“Let us work together to provide education and supervision so that our children grow into a generation that is intelligent, cheerful, and has noble character,” she added.

She expressed pride in being able to directly witness the enthusiasm and joy of the children participating in the various activities during the Porseni.

“I am proud to be present and see our extraordinary children,” she added.

This event serves as an important momentum for developing the potential of early childhood while strengthening synergy between teachers, parents, and the government in creating a quality future generation.
