OSIS Chairman of SMKN 1 Pemalang Officially Expelled Following AI Photo Scandal Exposed

Pemalang Kartininews.com – Strict sanctions have been imposed by the management of SMK Negeri 1 Pemalang against a student involved in a digital harassment scandal. DRA, an 11th-grade student who also served as OSIS Chairman, has been officially expelled from the school after being proven to have manipulated photos of his classmates using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

This technology-based immoral act was discovered on Monday (4/5/2026), when a witness found a gallery on the perpetrator’s phone containing photos of female students that had been manipulated to appear nude. The case quickly went viral and drew serious attention across Pemalang Regency.

Final Decision: Perpetrator Returned to Parents

The Principal of SMK Negeri 1 Pemalang, Edi Wasito, S.Pd., M.Si., along with the student affairs team, has taken drastic action. Following clarification on Wednesday (6/5/2026), the school decided to revoke DRA’s student status.

“After summoning the parents, the family agreed to withdraw their child. Effective immediately, the individual is no longer a student of SMK Negeri 1 Pemalang,” stated Edi Wasito, S.Pd., M.Si., firmly.

Known for Good Behavior, Teachers Shocked

The revelation that the perpetrator was the OSIS Chairman has left a deep wound for the school community. DRA had been known as an exemplary figure with good leadership qualities, polite, and reserved.

“No one expected this. He was a very well-behaved student. This incident has truly shocked us, especially upon discovering that the number of victims reached 17 female students,” added Nurul Faidah, Deputy Principal for Public Relations and Industry Relations. Although the photos were allegedly only for personal collection, the act was deemed a serious ethical violation that tarnished the school’s dignity.

Recovery Measures for the 17 Victims

The school is now working hard to restore a safe learning environment. Accompanied by counseling teachers Dwi Rakhmawati, S.Psi., M.Pd., and Devi Nuranita, S.Pd., M.Pd., along with psychologists from the Pemalang Regency Social Services (Dinsos), the victims are receiving intensive support.

Edi Wasito further explained the steps being taken by the school, including:

- Trauma Healing: Providing private counseling sessions for the affected female students.

- Security Guarantee: Ensuring no further bullying occurs within the school environment.

- Digital Literacy: Tightening supervision of gadget use and educating students about the dangers of AI misuse.

Edi Wasito emphasized that the school’s top priority now is the mental recovery of the victims so they can continue their education without lingering trauma or shame.
