Parigi Moutong Regency Government Promotes Youth Development Through Futsal
Parigi Moutong Kartininews.com – The 2026 Parigi Moutong Regent’s Rotating Trophy Student Futsal Tournament is not only a competition for the championship title, but also a momentum for character building and the search for potential young athletic talents in the region.
This commitment was emphasized by the Parigi Moutong Regency Government during the official closing of the student futsal tournament held at Toraranga Futsal Field on Saturday night (9/5/2026).
The closing ceremony was led by Deputy Regent of Parigi Moutong, Abdul Sahid, representing Regent Erwin Burase. The event was also attended by Forkopimda officials, heads of regional government agencies (OPD), the Chairman of KONI Parigi Moutong, the Chairman of Askab PSSI Parigi Moutong, sub-district heads, village heads, accompanying teachers, community leaders, and members of the press.
In the regent’s speech read by Deputy Regent Abdul Sahid, the local government expressed appreciation to all parties who had supported the tournament from beginning to end.
“On behalf of the Parigi Moutong Regency Government, I would like to express my highest gratitude and appreciation to the entire organizing committee, schools, coaches, accompanying teachers, medical teams, and all parties who have made this event a success,” he said.
He emphasized that the student futsal tournament holds strategic importance because it not only builds sporting achievements but also shapes the character of the younger generation through the values of discipline, teamwork, responsibility, leadership, and sportsmanship.
This year’s theme, “Champion Generation for an Advanced, Independent, and Sustainable Parigi Moutong,” reflects the hope of producing a young generation that excels not only in sports but also possesses strong mentality, creativity, and the ability to compete in the future.
According to him, the local government will continue to support positive activities involving students and youth, including early-age sports development as a long-term investment to produce high-achieving athletes who can bring pride to the region.
This year’s student futsal tournament featured categories for elementary (SD), junior high (SMP), and senior high (SMA) schools, with participation from schools across various areas of Parigi Moutong.
In the SMA category, SMANSA Parigi 26 took first place, followed by SMAN 1 Parigi Tengah in second, SMAN 1 Ampibabo in third, and SMAN 1 Torue in fourth.
In the SMP category, SMPN 1 Parigi Selatan won first place, followed by SMP Muhammadiyah Pelawa in second, MTs Alkhairaat Pelawa in third, and SMP Lisanul Arab in fourth.
In the SD category, SDN Pelawa emerged as champion, followed by SD Muhammadiyah Pelawa, SD Inpres 2 Bantaya, and SD IT Al-Ikhsan.
The committee also awarded individual honors to the best players in each category. In the SD category, Best Goalkeeper went to Dayat from SDN Pelawa, Top Scorer to Abil from SD Muhammadiyah Pelawa with 20 goals, and Best Player to Dimas from SDN Pelawa.
In the SMP category, Ezra Pratama from SMP Muhammadiyah Pareng won Best Goalkeeper, Febriandi became Top Scorer with nine goals, and Best Player was awarded to Bintang from SMPN 1 Parigi Selatan.
In the SMA category, Best Goalkeeper was given to Munir from SMAN 1 Parigi Tengah, Top Scorer to Ahmad Fatir from SMANSA 26 Parigi with 12 goals, and Best Player to Rifandi Gaib from SMANSA 26 Parigi.
Through this tournament, the Parigi Moutong Regency Government hopes that student sports development will continue to grow and serve as a platform for nurturing a healthy, accomplished, and strong-character young generation.
