Sumenep Anniversary 2027 Logo Symbolizes the Spirit of Sustainable Development
Sumenep Kartininews.com - The launch of the Sumenep Regency Anniversary logo is not merely a ceremonial event or the introduction of an annual visual identity. More than that, the logo represents the direction of development, the collective spirit, and the aspirations of the community in realizing an advanced, independent, and sustainable region.
This was emphasized by Sumenep Regent Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo when launching the Sumenep Regency Anniversary logo at the Pendopo Agung Keraton on Saturday (20/6/2026).
According to the Regent, every element in the logo is not present by chance, but has been deliberately designed to represent the historical journey, cultural richness, and the optimism of the Sumenep people in facing the future.
“The Sumenep Regency Anniversary Logo is not just a symbol or an image, but reflects the historical journey, cultural wealth, and the community’s optimism to continue moving forward,” he said.
He stressed that this visual identity is expected to serve as positive energy that can strengthen the spirit of mutual cooperation among all elements of society in supporting development across various sectors.
“Through this logo, we want to present the spirit of togetherness in building a more advanced, independent, and prosperous region,” he explained.
The logo, themed “Songennep Sodek Parjuga 1269–2027”, is the work of Choirurrahman. It is rich in local cultural philosophy that reflects the true identity of Sumenep Regency.
One of the main elements in the logo is the Tari Sintong (Sintong Dance), which symbolizes the firmness of values, nobility of character, and the harmony between culture and spirituality. The dance movements reflect the character of the Sumenep people — polite, principled, and dignified.
The keris (traditional dagger) element serves as an important symbol representing honor, courage, and wisdom. This aligns with Sumenep’s identity as the “City of Keris,” a region known for its strong and historically valuable keris cultural heritage.
Meanwhile, batik motifs symbolize cultural richness, creativity, and local wisdom passed down through generations as part of the Madurese community’s identity.
Beyond culture, the logo also incorporates oil and gas elements, reflecting the natural resource potential of Sumenep Regency as one of the key drivers of the regional economy.
In terms of color:
- Red symbolizes courage and the fighting spirit in facing development challenges.
- Yellow represents glory, nobility, and hope for a brighter and more prosperous future.
- Green symbolizes tranquility, harmony, and social unity in community life.
The number 758 in the logo symbolizes Sumenep’s long journey, which is deeply rooted in culture, upholds wisdom, and continues to carve out dignified progress.
The Regent emphasized that the success of regional development is truly the result of collaboration among all elements of society, not solely the work of the government.
According to him, the development achievements attained so far have come from the active participation of the community, businesses, and all stakeholders according to their respective capacities.
“Various development achievements that have been made so far are the result of joint efforts by all elements of society who actively participate according to their respective fields and abilities,” he explained.
Therefore, he invited all members of the community to continue strengthening collaboration and maintaining the spirit of togetherness in supporting various regional development programs.
“Regional development will succeed if all elements of society share the same commitment to contribute and actively participate according to their respective capacities,” the Regent concluded.
The launch of this Anniversary logo marks that the future development of Sumenep Regency will not only focus on economic growth, but also on strengthening cultural identity, social harmony, and sustainable development oriented toward the welfare of the people.
