Aceh Strengthens Competitiveness of Leading MSME Products
Banda Aceh Kartininews.com – The Aceh Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs continues to push for the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through a flagship product mentoring program held in Banda Aceh on Tuesday (12/5/2026).
The program, organized by the Aceh MSME Integrated Business Service Center (UPTD), focuses on increasing business capacity so that Aceh’s MSME products can compete in broader markets, both regionally and nationally.
Head of the Aceh Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs, Reza Ferdian, stated that strengthening MSMEs is not only about increasing production but also includes improving product quality, packaging, digital marketing, business legality, and access to financing.
According to him, MSME players play an important role in supporting regional economic growth, so they need to be supported through continuous and needs-based mentoring.
“Business actors must continue to improve their quality and adaptability so that the products they produce have added value and can compete in the market,” said Reza.
He added that the mentoring program is also part of the Aceh Government’s efforts to strengthen regional flagship products while encouraging MSMEs to grow and move up to a higher scale.
The activity was attended by MSME players from various regions in Aceh, with materials focused on business development, marketing strategies, and strengthening product competitiveness.
The Aceh Government hopes that this mentoring will strengthen the independence of local MSMEs and expand marketing opportunities for the region’s flagship products.
