Baitul Mal Aceh Supports ITC Students' Departure to EWIC Malaysia for Diploma 2 Studies

Banda Aceh Kartininews.com - Baitul Mal Aceh has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of Aceh’s human resources through a vocational education scholarship program. This time, Baitul Mal Aceh is providing support for the departure of the 6th batch of students from the International Tourism College (ITC) Aceh to continue their Diploma 2 program at East West International College (EWIC) Malaysia.


Member of the Baitul Mal Aceh Board, Taufik Hidayat, stated that this support represents the productive utilization of zakat funds in the field of education and the development of Aceh’s young generation.

“We hope the departing students can make the most of this opportunity, enhance their competencies, and bring honor to Aceh on the international stage,” said Taufik during the student send-off ceremony at Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport on Thursday (7/5/2026).

On the same occasion, Head of the Baitul Mal Aceh Secretariat, Ikhsan Ahyat, accompanied by Head of the Collection Division, Gunawan Phonna, expressed hope that the students would maintain good morals, discipline, and a strong spirit of learning while abroad. He urged them to become a generation that excels not only academically but also possesses strong social awareness and Islamic values.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to all muzakki who have paid their zakat, infaq, and sedekah through Baitul Mal Aceh. Thanks to the trust and care of these muzakki, educational programs like this can be implemented and provide real benefits to the students and those in need,” he said.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Galih Ramadani, Manager of ITC, appreciated the support provided by Baitul Mal Aceh to the students participating in the overseas vocational education program. According to him, this collaboration opens up great opportunities for students to gain international education and work experience. He also expressed hope that in the future, these students continuing their studies in Malaysia can become muzakki themselves.

The departing students expressed gratitude for the support they received and are determined to complete their education successfully in Malaysia. This program is expected to produce a young Acehnese generation ready to compete in the global job market, particularly in the international tourism and hospitality sectors.
