PPP Depok Leaders Ready to Oppose DPP Decision

Depok Kartininews.com – The internal situation within the United Development Party (PPP) Depok City is heating up. A number of daily executive board members of the DPC and 8 Branch Leaders (PAC) have openly declared their opposition to the decision of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of PPP.

Ma’mun Pratama, Secretary of the DPC PPP Depok City, emphasized that his group, which calls itself the Constitutional Fighters Front, rejects several Decrees (SK) issued by the central leadership regarding the regional leadership in West Java.

“We see the steps taken by the opposing faction as highly unconstitutional. We must take a stand to save the party,” said Mamun during a press conference in the Tapos area, Depok, on Monday (20/4/2026).

Mamun claims to be supported by 8 out of 11 legitimate PACs in Depok City, namely Bojongsari, Sawangan, Cinere, Limo, Cilodong, Cimanggis, Sukmajaya, and Tapos. He confirmed that all these PAC executives hold official decrees valid until February 2027.

This stance emerged as a rejection of DPP PPP Decree Number 0066/SK/DPP/W/II/2026, which appointed H. Uu Ruzhanul Ulum as Chairman of the DPW PPP West Java. They believe the appointment process violated the party’s Articles of Association (AD/ART) and Organizational Regulations.

In addition to rejecting the regional leadership, Mamun’s faction also rejects instructions related to the simultaneous Branch Deliberation (Muscab) agenda. Instead, they plan to hold a rival Muscab in the near future.

“This branch gathering is part of the process toward the (rival) Muscab. We will certainly formalize it in an official statement,” Mamun added.

On the other side, the Mazhab faction, which currently holds the position of Chairman of the DPC PPP Depok City, held a Muscab in Bogor on the same day. The event was attended directly by PPP General Chairman Mardiono.

Responding to the resistance movement from Mamun’s faction, the Mazhab faction chose not to comment. Previously, the Mazhab faction viewed the actions of Mamun and his colleagues as having violated internal party rules since they declared their rejection of the Acting Chairman of the DPW at the beginning of last year.

This dispute threatens to move into the legal domain. In their position statement, Mamun’s faction threatened to file a lawsuit with the District Court if the dispute over the legitimacy of the leadership does not reach a resolution soon.
