Family Funday in Halong Becomes a Space for Togetherness and Economic Driver for Local Residents

 Balangan – The Family Funday event was held again in Halong Subdistrict, Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan Province, on Sunday (14/6/2026).

The weekly routine activity featured various programs, including morning group exercises, a bazaar of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) culinary products, and door prize giveaways in the form of basic food packages for the community.

Chairperson of the Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK) Mobilization Team for Halong Subdistrict, Nordiani Ardy, said that Family Funday serves as a platform to strengthen community togetherness while supporting the development of local MSMEs.

“This Family Funday activity is held routinely every week in Halong Subdistrict. We hope this event can continue so that MSMEs and community sports activities can keep growing,” she said.

According to Nordiani, the activity not only provides space for social interaction but also serves as a promotion platform for local businesses to introduce and market their products.

Meanwhile, Family Funday Organizing Chairperson Samsul Arifin reported that this week’s event once again received a positive response from the community. This was evident from the increasing number of participating MSMEs compared to the previous week.

“Alhamdulillah, today’s Family Funday was successfully held. The number of participating MSME traders also increased compared to last week. This shows that public enthusiasm is getting better,” he said.

He explained that Family Funday aims not only to support the economic growth of MSMEs but also to encourage the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle through joint sports activities.

“We hope the people of Halong Subdistrict will continue to enjoy and make the most of this activity — whether for shopping local MSME products, joining healthy exercise sessions, or taking advantage of health services that we will present in the future,” he added.

Moving forward, the committee plans to add health services for participants, including simple health check-ups, as an effort to raise public awareness about the importance of maintaining health.

Through this activity, it is hoped that synergy can be built between strengthening the people’s economy, improving community health quality, and creating positive and sustainable social interaction spaces in Halong Subdistrict.
